Are you a compassionate person looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity serving patients facing life limiting illnesses? Actively recruiting volunteers who are interested in supporting patients! Hospice volunteers support our patients wherever they reside in a variety of ways. Examples of support include: companionship, friendly visits, supporting veterans, pet therapy, reiki, music therapy, letter writing and engaging conversation. Approximately 1-3 hours per week, opportunity is flexible based on your location and schedule! Actively recruiting volunteers who are ready to make a difference. No experience is required.

Description

Hospice Volunteers are an integral part of the Interdisciplinary team consisting of a medical director, nurses, therapists, social workers, chaplains and home health aides. Volunteer roles consist of direct patient visits at home, reading, music, pet therapy, reiki, veteran recognition, and other administrative duties. Hospice volunteers find their work emotionally meaningful and gratifying. The volunteer opportunity is extremely flexible based on the volunteers' location and schedule; volunteers are valued members of our hospice care team.
