Habitat Homes are built almost entirely by both skilled and unskilled volunteers. No experience is necessary and all equipment and safety gear is provided. Build Site volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and tasks may be limited.

Habitat for Humanity partners with the community to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. Homes are then sold to low income families with an affordable mortgage.
Description
Habitat for Humanity Sanford Area, NC is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit Christian housing organization. To date, Habitat for Humanity Sanford Area has built 35 decent, energy efficient, affordable houses and renovated four homes for low income families in Lee County. Our vision is to build a Habitat Village supporting up to 30 families and including a play area and community garden.
