If you love dogs, this is the best way in the world to truly make a positive impact on another person's life!
By helping to foster, raise, and train a future assistance dog, you are enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities, bringing them more freedom, independence and peace of mind.
Volunteers act as short and long term fosters to the puppies and dogs while they grow up and get trained in.
Can Do Canines covers the costs of everything you will need to care for the puppy (dog food, regular vet visits, etc.)!
Volunteers in this program should live near the Twin Cities area or Eau Claire, WI to pick up and drop off dogs and for long term fosters to attend training classes once a month.
No experience is needed to work with our puppies. We’re with you every step of the way!
We have amazing trainers to teach you how to raise a future assistance dog. Long Term Fosters will learn positive reinforcement training techniques in class once a month and get comfortable taking the puppy in public while attending our group outings.
