Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Have the ability to respond in a caring, empathetic and calming way with people. Comfortable working in a fast paced setting. Ability to remain calm under pressure and the ability to express empathy in stressful situations and crises. Must be able to communicate any concerns needing immediate attention to the appropriate staff person and responds to comfort needs for patients.
