We are looking for a few volunteer photographers to help us capture the JOY of these choral communities.
YOU can help us change the stigma of Alzheimer's and other dementia by photographing our choruses in action.
At Giving Voice, we bring together people living with Alzheimer's, care-partners, and volunteers to experience the joy of singing together.
Based in the Twin Cities, Giving Voice has sparked a worldwide movement to replace the stigma and social isolation that all too often comes with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's with the joy of music and three-part harmony.
Choruses are in:
- Minneapolis
- St. Paul
- Edina
Volunteer photographers would commit to photographing 1 of 2 rehearsals and the performance at the end of the semester (in May and December). Photographers would be assigned to a chorus based on preferred location and rehearsal time.
Rehearsals take place during the weekday, and performances take place on the weekend, or during the lunch hour on a weekday. Please see https://givingvoicechorus.org/for-singers/twin-cities-choruses for more details!

Giving Voice empowers people with Alzheimer's to change the narrative around living well with dementia, through an innovative choral experience. Bringing together people living with dementia, care-partners, and volunteer, our choruses show what's possible when living with dementia. Wellbeing, laughter, friendship, joy.
