ORGANIZATION: Anchor of Hope Hospice

Anchor of Hope Hospice is seeking out volunteers who are compassionate, dedicated and empathetic to our patients' unique needs. If you are someone who wants to help end-of-life patients and their families by providing socialization, comforting presence, or other engaging activities, this opportunity may be a great fit for you! Volunteers provide visits for approximately 1-2 hours per week or assist staff with administrative duties in our office located in Carmel. We provide training and ongoing support and education.

Here are some activities you may be able to do with patients:
Reading a book aloud
Looking through photos
Talking about subjects the patient is interested in
Watching tv or movies together
Listening to music together

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Volunteers who are accepted into our program can expect to have a background and reference check.

In accordance with the Federal mandate, volunteers must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption in order to volunteer. Volunteers must show proof of vaccination during the on-boarding process
