Stepping Stones Volunteer Training
PeaceHealth Hospice is looking for volunteers to be a part of our children's bereavement group called Stepping Stones. Stepping Stones provides support for children, teens and their families as they work through grief process. Volunteers are trained to listen and reflect with families who have experienced the death of a loved one. Hospice Volunteer Training is also required. Volunteers are asked to make a minimum commitment of one year to the program.
We have an upcoming training for our volunteer facilitators on September 9th, 9am-4pm.
Completion of Hospice Volunteer training is a prerequisite. Hospice Volunteer training is a hybrid training with 2 half day in-person classes held 2 weeks apart and the online portion of the training to be done before the second meeting. Hospice Volunteer training will be August 8 & 22, 2024.

Description
Hospice Southwest is seeking compassionate men and women who are interested in providing companionship care to our patients and their families during their end-of-life journey.
Hospice Volunteers provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families by assisting with patient's personal care, helping with household tasks, running errands, or providing respite to caregivers.
