Mission Statement

The New Song Center provides comprehensive grief education, support for healing and positive social change following traumatic loss.

Description

The New Song Center for Grieving Children offers confidential on-gong bi-weekly support groups for grieving children ages 5-17, young adults 18-25, adult caregivers and grandparents. Children engage in developmentally appropriate activities including art, play and journaling. Adults attend their own support groups where they learn how to help children process grief in a healthy manner and how to help themselves copy with loss. All groups are co-facilitated by trained and caring volunteers who complete a comprehensive experiential training course including skills to facilitate support groups. The support groups are offered in Avondale, Gilbert, Phoenix and Scottsdale including a Luz del Corazon Spanish group.
