NAMI is looking for people like you, ages 18-29, who are looking to make a difference in their community by fighting the stigma of mental illness and advocating for individuals who have been diagnosed with a mental health condition. Individuals with a mental health condition as well as family members of those affected by mental illness are highly encouraged to check this group out!

  • Advocacy group that discusses the importance of mental health awareness and decreasing the stigma of mental illness!
  • We will discuss the importance of mental health through open discussions, activities, getting involved in the community and more.
  • 2 groups per month, however, participation is not mandatory. Come once per month or as often as it works with your schedule!
NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI started with a small group of families in 1979 and has grown to include more than 500 local affiliates. NAMI of Delaware and Morrow Counties is one of those affiliates. We provide support groups, advocacy groups, education and informative classes as well as presentation to the community! We advocate at the county, state and national levels for non-discriminatory access to quality healthcare, housing , education and employment for people with mental illness.

  • Educate the public about mental illness.

  • Advocate for increased funding for research into the causes and treatment of mental illness.

We offer educational classes and support groups for people living with mental illness and their families and friends.
