Renovating a clay house and teaching art to children in Thailand

The volunteer project is based in a green homestay/art center in Ratchaburi Province where a local freelance artist teaches Art to students from the school and the community for free and helps them to learn various forms of art, such as painting, music, clay house building, as well as supports them in making art their occupation. There is a music festival which is organized every year on the site. The center is open for anyone who is keen to learn new skills and be an entrepreneur. The volunteers will support the work of the art center with:

• Renovating the clay house - Volunteers will learn and help the local host to repair and renovate the clay house which is home to the art center.

• Teaching art as an assistant - Volunteers will be assisting the art teacher in the schools and the community. They will also organize recreation activities such as games, singing, intercultural exchange together with the art club.

• Farming work - Volunteers will learn and help growing their own clean and organic food.

Special requirements: Respect for other cultures, open mind and love for learning and sharing.

Leisure time: Visiting Pong Krating reservoir, Khao Krajom (Krajom Mountain), waterfall and hot springs.
