Power Readers Mentors are matched for weekly, one-hour sessions with a student through the end of the school year. Sessions run between 11am and 2pm (or 4:45-5:30 for virtual sessions), and take place at our partner school sites in DC, Silver Spring, and Arlington, VA. These reading and mentoring sessions help our students grow and thrive through reading, combatting the learning loss many students have experienced during the pandemic.
Volunteers can learn more, see our schedule of sessions, and sign up on our website below! All volunteers will need to complete a school system clearance process before they can begin reading sessions.
