Are you looking for a way to give back to your community? There are so many ways to change a life in hospice care! Whether you are reading to our patients, praying with them, providing supportive phone calls to caregivers, or making handmade cards for patient birthdays, you can make a difference volunteering with hospice.

Gentiva Hospice, located in Southfield, serves patients and families across Metro Detroit- Including in your area! We are looking for new volunteers to provide a variety of services to our patients, including but not limited to making supportive phone calls, providing companionship to patients, providing professional services such as therapy dogs and Reiki, assisting with essential administrative work, and sitting vigil with actively dying patients. Please reach out, even if you have only a few hours a month, and help us make a difference at the end of life for our patients and families!

Volunteers can choose what area they wish to volunteer in, and there is no minimum number of hours you are required to give monthly. Training is free and flexible to fit your schedule. Students aged 16 and up are welcome to join our volunteer program as administrative volunteers.
