Are you looking for a way to give back to fellow veterans? There are so many ways to change a life in hospice care!

Gentiva Hospice, located in Southfield, provides out-patient hospice services to patients and families across Metro Detroit- Including in your area! We are looking for volunteers who are military veterans and wish to volunteer with other veterans who are on our service. Our volunteer program directly serves our patients and families by providing supportive phone calls and making in-person visits to provide companionship and emotional support. Veteran volunteers can also get involved by assisting veteran patients and families with navigating the VA and ordering replacements for lost medals. Even if you only have a few hours a month to give, we would love to have you join our volunteer program and help us make a difference at the end of life for the veterans on our service.

Volunteers can choose what area they wish to volunteer in, and there is no minimum number of hours you are required to give monthly. Training is free and flexible to fit your schedule.
