We help those who need unwavering, positive life management skills. Youth aren't born knowing the life skills that we wish they did; they must be taught and molded into productive members of society. Why volunteer with LifeSmart Education?

At LifeSmart Education (LSE) we know your time is valuable and we encourage volunteers to let us know what work interests them in order to help them grow as professionals.

Volunteers will earn an endorsement on LinkedIn or a referral after successful completion of their volunteer commitment.

Summary

LifeSmart Education Scholarship program supports youths aged 12-17 who are interested in pursuing an academic future in research, field of science or social sciences. We provide a monthly stipend and academic guidance for the students to help them prepare for future studies. The goal is to help students put into practice what they have learn in the program.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and responsive Student Advisor volunteer to join our new Scholarship program team. The Student Advisor will serve as an academic guide, suggesting books and other educational activities to the students that are in the scholarship program.

This volunteer position requires a 3-month commitment (hours are flexible).

Please note the first week is a trial period to see if the volunteer position is a good fit for you and LifeSmart Education.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize weekly tasks and activities for students
  • Create fun and engaging program materials
  • Provide guidance and tips for students on effective communication
  • Work collaboratively with LSE staff to achieve program’s objectives and goals
  • Volunteer is required to respond to emails within 36 hours and complete assignments in a timely manner

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Curriculum development (preferred but not required)
  • Leadership skills
  • Digital proficiency
  • Proactive and responsible
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with youth and/or a degree in Education or Psychology
