Hospice of San Joaquin welcomes anyone in the community who is grieving to our support groups. We are seeking caring individuals to lead our bereavement support groups. Leaders have the flexibility to select dates throughout the year that they desire to host in either our Lodi or Manteca office. We will work with your schedule.
Volunteers should have experience in:
- public speaking/presenting
- educating/facilitating
- active listening
- compassion

Description
The mission of Hospice of San Joaquin, a not-for-profit organization, is to provide comprehensive and compassionate care, counseling, and support to terminally ill patients and their families, regardless of their ability to pay and to educate and collaborate with healthcare providers and the public in promoting quality end-of-life care.
We provide:
A comprehensive care plan that includes medical, social, spiritual, and emotional support for the patient, family, and caregivers.
Effective pain control and symptom management are tailored to each patient's need and changing condition.
