ORGANIZATION: Aging & Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin

Trained Stepping On Leaders: Licensed through the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging: wihealthyaging.org. Training opportunities are available throughout the year. Talk to us to learn more about how we can get you trained as a licensed leader.

Peer Leader: The ADRC-CW Stepping On Leader is able to provide basic training for those age 60+ to co-lead Stepping On Programs. We can go through the training and partner you with the ADRC staff or another licensed/trained leader.

Programs are planned based on staff and volunteer availability and we attempt to offer the program in various locations to be more welcoming to the entire community. Ideally, trained leaders will be able to lead one or two Stepping On programs a year (2-3 hours a week for 7 weeks).

A good Stepping On Leader: Licensed leader can be of any age (18+), Peer Leader should be 60 years of age or older; all leaders should have an interest in the safety of older adults; be comfortable co-leading with another individual; be comfortable in front of a small group, and go through some training to help facilitate this program.
