JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for advanced artists who can take fbx files and models that have been started in Blender and refine them so that they fit the parameters of our project.

Requirements for the role include: UV mapping, sculpting, low poly modeling, PBR, channel packing, texturing, rigging, animating

Rebecca Everlene Trust Company (RET) is looking to fill several roles. In these opportunities, interns will help optimize CPU, GPU, and the overall system performance of legacy and new games. We are looking for candidates that are passionate about next generation gaming technologies and delivering exceptional gaming experiences. Our highly creative teams are full of veteran game developers, artists, game engine experts and graphics enthusiasts who work on our latest GPU and gaming hardware innovations around mobile, PC, and XR.

REQUIREMENTS

$10 background check via Sterling

Previous Unity game development experience preferred

Educated, experienced, professional, fun, organized, meticulous and detail-oriented

Must have an updated laptop and/or desktop computer to perform job responsibilities, in addition to a strong internet connection

Passion for video games and meaningful/educational games

Excellent problem solver / fire fighter

Highly motivated and proactive with a CAN DO attitude

Have strong communication and teamwork skills

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Must be willing to report time spent on projects using Clockify

Must communicate with team members using the Slack platform

Must manage projects using Monday.com project management software

Must be willing to dedicate at least 15 hours of time to the project per week

GAME PROJECT MANAGER/PRODUCER

Required Qualifications

Excellent communication skills in a collaborative environment

Experience with Project/Team Management (familiar with Agile/Scrum)

Experience with Game Development

Strong knowledge of production tools - Monday.com, JIRA, or equivalent

Comfortable with identifying, assessing, and solving problems quickly

You demand quality, creativity, and fun while still managing project resources and timelines

Nice-to-have

Technical background or worked in other roles (artist, designer, engineer) before in the game development life cycle

Ability to balance project demands with creative essentials

iOS/Android production experience

Experience with Business Process Improvement

Proficiency with MS Office suite (Including Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience as a "master scheduler" with the ability to keep multiple features on track simultaneously

Responsibilities:

Plan for and manage the game project production

Facilitate volunteer recruitment and technical screening of candidates

Facilitate and manage healthy communication throughout the team. Champion the team and its members. Foster a culture of open collaboration and trust

Schedules and leads project meetings, creates and distributes agenda and meeting notes, actions, etc, and maintain relevant team documentation

Collaborate with program managers, department representatives and subject matter experts to positively advance project objectives

Identify, communicate, and work to resolve challenges that may prevent our team or our development partners from achieving goals on time

Communicate frequently with the production team on status, risks, and opportunities

Define and refine processes and workflows throughout the team

UNITY PROGRAMMER / GAME DEVELOPER

Required Qualifications

2+ years of relevant experience working as Unity3D (C#) game/software developer

Strong knowledge of Object Oriented programming

Working experience with mobile game optimization pipelines and best practices

Experience working with GitHub version control

Nice-to-have

Experience building GPS/Location-based gameplay systems

Experience implementing custom art assets and UI elements for mobile layout

Experience leading and guiding junior-level/beginner programmers

Experience working with artists and designers

Experience in Agile development

Work closely with Artists, Researchers, and Designers to create and modify required gameplay mechanics and systems that are optimized on mobile platforms

Code Unity-specific features such as UI, animations, effects, and audio

Collaborate, communicate with, and mentor Junior Unity Developers and Artists in an agile, small team environment

Provide easily readable and customizable code, and document the process and tools involved during the development

Participate in code validation and code reviews, evaluate risk associated with code changes and make informed decisions on what and when to make a change

Create relevant technical training content such as frameworks, samples, tutorials, videos, etc. for the team

2D CONCEPT ARTIST

Required Qualifications

2+ years of concept art experience

An understanding of anatomy, proportion, and perspective

Willing to accept feedback and iterate/improve artwork

General knowledge of the 3D production process

Knowledge of game art and animation pipeline

Responsibilities:

As a Concept Artist, you will work closely with the Art Director and Creative Leadership to help conceptualize the visual style of our mobile games! You’ll bring your expertise as a visionary, designer, and storyteller to visually communicate and maintain a stylized art direction throughout the creation of environments, characters, props, and key art marketing materials.

Collaborate with the Director and Art Lead to establish and execute the artistic vision of a game.

Create designs for characters, creatures, props, and environments to elevate the gameplay and overall player experience.

Gather and catalog references, conduct competitive analysis and formulate research strategies

Understand and evangelize the visual style of the game, sharing knowledge with the team to be sure that the vision and directions are understandable.

Collaborate with other leads and team members across various departments to problem-solve and help steer the conceptual direction into the final game experience

Work closely with 3D Asset artists, joining their design processes and working out the visual problems that arise during production.

3D ARTIST (Creature Modeling & Animation)

Required Qualifications

1+ years of experience working with Blender

Experience with character modeling and animations

Strong interpersonal and team skills

Creative, detail-oriented, and resourceful

Good eye for stylized characters and animations

Willing to accept feedback and iterate/improve artwork

Training in game art and animation

Passion for video games, mobile games, and social impact games

Experience working with Unity 3D

Familiar with art pipelines and best practices in mobile game development

Responsibilities:

Create detailed (and adorable e.g. Pokemon) 3D assets using modeling, sculpting, and texturing skills in Blender

Translate concept art of characters and environments into efficient and polished 3D models (for use in extended reality and game design)

Building 3D models of all assets in line with the technical limits of the game engine

Work with the team to help drive the style and feel of character animations

Work with engineers/technical artists on the team to ensure exported assets and animations fit the needs of Unity implementation, and communicate updates and concerns with team members, both developers, and designers.

Create unique designs within a production schedule.

Be willing to iterate to find the best solution and artistic direction possible.

TECHNICAL ARTIST

Required Qualifications

1+ years of relevant experience working in Unity3D (C#)

Knowledge of UI or 3D art/animation pipeline and relevant tools in Unity

Experience working with GitHub version control

Experience working with Blender/Maya and creating 3D art and animations

Knowledge of art-relevant best practices for developing in the mobile game environment

Test functionality and bug fixing to ensure work is end-user ready

Contribute to the design of UI tools and processes

Actively participate in the creation and implementation of design systems, game menus, HUD elements, Iconography, UI materials and shaders, UI animation, and motion design.
