Join Friends of Buford Park & Mt. Pisgah in stewarding over 25 miles of trail in Lane County's largest park!

Trail work parties are a great way to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Buford Park while making recreation and access to these places easier and more enjoyable for everyone.

Volunteers will join our Trails Steward every 3rd Thursday and 4th Saturday of each month to maintain trail throughout the park and contribute to special trail building projects as we continue to expand and diversify the trail system within the park.

  • Learn valuable skills about good trail building practices
  • Get an awesome work out that gives back to your community
  • Meet other rad volunteers who love recreation and the outdoors
  • Get to enjoy the fruits of your labor the next time you enjoy Buford Park

About Friends of Buford Park and Mt. Pisgah

Location:

P.O. Box 5266, Eugene, OR 97405, US

Mission Statement

To protect and enhance native ecosystems and compatible recreation in the Mt. Pisgah area.

Description

The Friends believe that people and nature are intertwined. We’re a self-funded non-profit of nearly 1,000 members and volunteers investing our time, talent, and money so people and nature can thrive together in the greater Mt. Pisgah area.

We partner with Lane County Parks, Mount Pisgah Arboretum, The Nature Conservancy, Oregon State Parks, and other area landowners to enhance native habitat, improve trails, and involve volunteers in caring for the land.

Since our founding in 1989, the Friends of Buford Park & Mt. Pisgah have raised and invested millions of dollars in cash and volunteer contributions for habitat and trail improvements. We also explore Pisgah’s hidden treasures on guided tours and advocate for land protection regionally, such as the 1,300 acre Willamette Confluence Preserve next to Buford Park now owned by The Nature Conservancy.
