FLIP Volunteer
Tutor and Mentor K-4 students through the FLIP programs. You can serve one of 33 elementary schools in Davidson or Williamson counties.

FiftyForward's Friends Learning in Pairs (FLIP) tutoring program is seeking volunteers age 55+ to tutor students at Park Avenue Enhanced Option Elementary School.

As part of the AmeriCorps Seniors family of programs, FLIP matches older adult volunteers with elementary school students for thirty-minute, one-on-one reading instruction or math skills development. Volunteers are assigned three to four students to tutor and meet with them weekly.

Prior to service, volunteers must complete an in-person interview, a background check, and take part in an initial training session. Materials and ongoing support will be provided by FLIP.
