Front Desk Volunteers Needed
We are always looking for new volunteers to help uplift our diverse community. One service area in need of volunteers is the front desk. The front desk can be an excellent learning opportunity for energetic individuals who are looking to gain experience with multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment. Some of the front desk duties include checking our guests in, answering the telephone, and filing the mail. New volunteers will be trained by an expert, and they will also work together with a partner. The front desk is a special place where you can learn the names of all our guests, solve real problems, and plant the seeds of friendship. Please share this message and contact Susan Alger if you or a loved one is interested. Most opportunities are weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. We also have need of substitutes if you'd simply like to add your name to the list and come out to help on a casual basis.

Description
The Lamb Center is a daytime drop-in shelter for individuals (our guests) who are experiencing homelessness in Fairfax, Virginia. We provide breakfast, lunch, showers, laundry service, Bible studies, case management, employment opportunities, housing and job counseling, AA meetings, small group opportunities, nurse practitioner services, a dental clinic, and much more.
