ORGANIZATION: PACE SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN

PACE Southeast Michigan

Provide a joyful experience for our aging participants! Join us at one of our seven day health centers and engage with aging adults in your community. Play games, paint nails, serve breakfast & lunch, and provide guidance to clinical and rehab appointments within the center.

Volunteers will be provided with ongoing staff support throughout their service with us and will be included in appreciation events. Our volunteers must complete an online application, interview, background checks, an orientation class, and a TB test is required.

Availability: Weekdays 9:00am - 12:00PM or 12:00pm - 3:00pm

The focus of PACE Southeast Michigan is to help you live in the community and stay in your own residence for as long as possible. To meet this goal, PACE organizations focus on preventive care. Although all people who enroll in PACE are eligible for nursing home care, only 7 percent nationally live in nursing homes. Our goal is to provide our frail senior community members with the care, medical treatment and support they need to achieve the highest quality of life - while staying independent as long as possible. Our elder care experts offer an alternative to nursing home placement that features comprehensive, coordinated care for a senior’s medical, social and physical needs, while also providing peace of mind for family caregivers.
