We have a variety of needs here at Saco River Wildlife Center and we’d love to have you as a volunteer!

Our top need is evenings, though we appreciate those who can do weekday mornings and afternoons, and we are always in need of people with flexible schedules who can cover holes and fill in for absences on short notices.

Our evening shift is from 4:30-9:00 but we are flexible with times and understand that some
volunteers are arriving after work and may not be available until later in the evening.
Responsibilities for volunteers during the evening shift include cage cleaning and assisting in feeding of inside patients, laundry and dishes as needed, and general cleaning, sweeping and mopping of floors. No experience with wildlife? No worries! We will train you with all of the skills you need to know.
