Well, it WILL BE went you start getting the word out! There are 4 slots available coordinating with our Public Information Officer.

  1. Social Media Coordinator- Create, develop, implement, and manage all social media campaigns and communication.
  2. Publications Coordinator- Working with programs and projects to develop informative and promotional content.
  3. Website Manager- Maintain framework and stability of the site, continuing content updating, SEO.
  4. Networking Coordinator- Develops and maintains relationships that support the mission of Assistance Canines of Texas.
  5. Videographer/multi-media Producer- Create impactful imagery that promotes or continued interest and support of Assistance Canines of Texas.

Mission Statement

• Increase public awareness of the rights of individuals with disabilities and service dog teams. • Assist individuals with disabilities to obtain professional team training and support to train their own service dog. • Provide no/low-cost training supplies and/or service dog equipment. • Coordinate with rescue organizations and local animal shelters to place dogs as service dogs in training (SDIT) candidates. • To provide information to foundations, corporate giving programs, and government resources about the substantial need for programs and services to assist self-trained service teams. • Obtain charitable contributions from the general public. • Provide advocacy assistance for service dog teams. • Sponsor meetings and workshops.

We make lives FULL of PAWSabilities! Here is the opportunity to make an independent lifestyle possible for someone that relies on PAWSabilities in their daily lives. Service dogs provide vital tasks, from opening doors and maintaining mobility, to lifesaving alerting blood sugar levels. The extremely high cost ($15,000 to $90,000) of a fully trained dog is cost prohibited for most. Owner/Handler service dog training can provide a more affordable ($4,000 to $8,000)opportunity for many. We can not fulfill our mission to provide free/low-cost training and resources without volunteer mined people like you! Every moment of donated time, talent, or expertise makes a life full of PAWSabilities happen.
