Project Hawai’i, Inc. is a volunteer staffed nonprofit run by public donations. We are gearing up for Christmas for hundreds of homeless children. Our Christmas Wish Program has been providing holiday wishes for children who would otherwise go without for 19 years on the island.
We have a few fundraising events coming up and need a few people to help make it a success. Your 2 hours allows us to create awareness of the crisis we face here on our island and raise funds to keep our holiday events going.
Volunteers will all be doing the same service project of holding awareness signs and nets to collect donations for the community. We meet at the First Hawaiian Bank parking lot in Prince Kuhio Plaza at 11a, end at 1 p.m.
Please consider donating a few hours to bring Christmas Cheer to our homeless children.

Volunteers:
1. Bring a water bottle
2. Wear comfortable walking shoes
3. Dress for the weather. If it rains too hard, of course we will cancel or cut short
4. Option to wear a fun holiday hat
5. Bring a friend too!!

Open to groups, families with children (usually 10 and above work fine), company employee teams, individuals.

OPTIONAL:
If you want to host a fundraiser or collection before hand, please connect with us and we can let you know what is still needed. PLEASE DO NOT just bring random items. We fill Christmas Wishes and provide hygiene, stockings, etc... but need to keep everything coordinated.

Want to share a fundraiser on your social media? Want to help spread the word? Connect with us and we can get you started. Help our homeless children by spreading awareness

Mission Statement

Our mission is to enhance the lives of homeless children while teaching them the life and social skills they need to succeed!

Description

Project Hawai’i, Inc. is an award-winning volunteer staffed nonprofit that provides services to over 1,600 individual homeless children annually across the islands of O'ahu, Maui and the Big Island of Hawai'i. The nonprofit strives to change the lives of children by providing a sense of stability through interactive programs, including educational summer camps, holiday events, school support, and educational training. Additionally, the nonprofit provides monthly outreach support to assure that children are supplied with healthy meals, personal hygiene care, and emergency services.

Since the foundations inception in 2003, we are proud to announce we have successfully helped over 2,000 homeless children escape and BREAK their cycle of poverty as they continue to build their families with a strong foundation.

In Hawaii, there are over 23,000 children living in substandard and homeless situations.

Our mission is to help end the cycle of poverty for Hawaiian Children (keiki)
