Help build homes for victims of California Wildfires in Paradise, CA!

Project Background

The Camp Fire in Paradise, CA, was the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California's history. The fire caused 85 deaths and destroyed more than 18,000 structures. The town of Paradise was almost destroyed, losing close to 95% of local homes and buildings.

For the last 3 years, International Relief Teams has sent teams of skilled and unskilled construction volunteers to help build homes for the elderly, disabled, uninsured, and low-income families who have not been able to recover after the 2018 Camp Fire.

Volunteer Job Description

During the 7 days of the project, volunteers are tasked with assisting our construction team with framing, roofing, drywalling, flooring, and finishing work. Volunteers must have some knowledge of construction and be able to follow directions made by the Construction Leader on site. Travel (flights and transport to site) and accommodation are provided.
