Girl Scouts is the largest girl-serving organization in the country, with 8,896 members in Oregon and Southwest Washington and 1.7 million nationally. We prepare girls to empower themselves by helping them to discover their interests and passions, connect with others, and take action to make the world a better place.

Our first annual Daisy Dash - A 24-Hour Adventure Challenge will bring Girl Scouts and supporters around Oregon and SW Washington together to complete challenges over a 24-hour period in September. Teams of up to 5 people can play from anywhere by using a smartphone, tablet, or computer to view and complete challenges. Teams choose challenges to complete, submit photographic evidence, and receive points via the event app. The event will take place Friday, September 8th - Saturday, September 9th, 2023.

We are looking for committee members to assist in the planning and execution of the event. T he committee will work with staff and other volunteers to create an event that reflects the mission and values of Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Committee members are expected to:

  • Attend and participate in regular committee meetings - one or two meeting per month (most, or all, via zoom)
  • Participate in a subcommittee such as:
    • Local celebrity, media, and sponsor acquisition
    • Challenges/activities
    • Public relations/marketing
    • VIP experience
    • Logistics committee
