Meals on Wheels Durham offers a variety of volunteer opportunities to make lasting impacts on older adults in the community. You can delivers meals- and smiles-to clients each weekday, help pack and load meals onto delivery vehicles, or even check in on seniors in the comfort of your own home. We have something for everybody!
Meals on Wheels of Durham is seeking volunteers to help facilitate the distribution of meals and other items to our drivers delivering to our clients.
Inside helpers assist with various operational tasks during meal distribution. The opportunity is available Monday-Friday from 8am-11am.
Soon after registering for this opportunity through Volunteer Match, you will receive an email from Meals on Wheels Durham inviting you to register in our system. Once you have registered you will receive an email with the link to sign up for a shift in our Scheduler program.

Description
Meals on Wheels of Durham, Inc. is a non-profit agency committed to enhancing the quality of life for eligible home-bound adults in our community. Our mission is to serve the elderly, frail, disabled, convalescing and others who cannot provide proper nutrition for themselves. Dedicated volunteers deliver lunches to our clients each weekday, with the objective of improving the nutritional status and health of these individuals. It is our goal that this combination of nutritious meals and social contact will help our clients to remain independent as long as possible.
