Empower girls in your community as a Girls on the Run coach at Skippack Elementary this spring! Coaches can be male or female, runners or walkers! Coaches must be 16 years or older. Coaches are trained before the season begins and must submit background clearances prior to the first practice.
Season begins the week of February 28th 2023 and concludes with our celebratory 5K the weekend of May 28th. Teams consist of 8-18 girls in 3rd-5th grades, accompanied by 2-3 coaches per day. Teams practice twice per week after school for 90 minutes. Coaches are responsible for setting up for lessons, leading practices, encouraging girls, and serving as positive role models all season long!

Description
Girls on the Run is a 10-week after-school program serving girls in Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware Counties, PA. We use the power of running to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.
