The Brooklyn Hospital Center is seeking community minded volunteers who would like to be Spiritual Care Visitors to our patients who have been admitted to the hospital. You can be a part of the healing process. Spiritual Care Visitors, visit with patients, talk to them, read to them. All of this may seem very simple, but it can mean the world to someone who is in the hospital.
Note: only people who can be open to all faiths/religions or no particular faith/religion should apply to this opportunity. This position is to support our patients, not to introduce them to a specific belief system.
Volunteers of all faiths and religions are welcome.
The Brooklyn Hospital Center has been Helping Keep Brooklyn Healthy for over 175 years. We are committed to serving the Brooklyn Community and Greater New York City. We are centrally located in historic Downtown Brooklyn, NY and close to many of the major subway lines.
