Cosmetologists: Would you consider using your hair cutting skills to help some of our home bound patients? Every now and then one of our patients cannot get out and about to get a haircut, and we all know how that can make one feel. If you are certified in cosmetology and love to help others, this is a great opportunity for you! This opportunity won't keep you too busy as this is on an "as needed" schedule. When a patient needs a haircut, our Volunteer Coordinator would give you a call and get it set up with our patient. It's so nice to offer this service to someone who is unable to get out to get a much-needed haircut. Any volunteer will need to fully complete our onboarding process including background check, TB test and orientation to keep our patients safe.

Description
We offer Home Health and Hospice services all over the nation. I am the Volunteer Coordinator for the Norman, Moore and South OKC metro area. I am looking for compassionate people willing to give of their time. Our hospice patients love when a volunteer can come visit with them. Our caregivers/family members sometimes need to do errands or have time by themselves. Our volunteers are ready and willing to be with our patients during this time. We have other kinds of opportunities as well, such as a Pet Therapy program!
