Gulf Islands National Seashore (GUIS) is seeking a Skillbridge intern to work with the Facilities and Maintenance team operating engineering and construction heavy equipment. Duties include operating a variety of gasoline or diesel-powered engineering and construction with wheeled or crawler type traction; maintaining equipment by performing preventative and limited corrective maintenance; and maintaining parking lots and roads.
No housing is available; it is recommended applicants live within the Pensacola/ Gulf Breeze, Florida area. The duration of the program is up to 180 days but is negotiable.
