The Holidays are Coming and We Have a Fantastic Way for Your Corporate Office to Give Back this Season!
Engage your team in community service together by assembling Simply the Basics Hygiene Kits for your neighbors in need! Our staff will ship you all the necessary supplies; Simply the Basics reusable tote bags and essential hygiene products, as well as provide you a customized guide which includes directions, videos, and everything you need for a successful day. This activity is group for groups of all sizes!
On the day of the activity, Simply the Basics will join your group over video for a presentation on our programs, the impact of homelessness, thoughtful discussion, and Q&A prior to the activity.
To complete the activity, you will be matched with a Simply the Basics Receiving Site in your area for you to drop off or ship the completed hygiene kits.
Where does the activity take place?
- No need to shuffle your team around. This activity can take place in your office. Opportunities for multiple offices to "come together" virtually as well and include your remote workers.
How can we make our contribution?
- Groups make a tax-deductible contribution to help cover the value of the activity, allowing Simply the Basics to purchase all the needed supplies. Every activity is customized so we will send you a final proposal after we learn about your goals and group.
All activities do require either dropping off or shipping the complete hygiene kits to one of our Receiving Sites and can include a presentation from Simply the Basics staff, when available.

Mission Statement
The Mission of Simply the Basics is to provide for individuals, organizations, and communities their most basic needs with dignity so that they can focus on bigger goals. We simply remove barriers, allowing people to have the opportunity to achieve.
Description
Simply the Basics is inspired by Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, the philosophy that people are unable to focus on any needs higher than their current level on the following pyramid. If they are unable to meet needs at the very basic level (food, shelter, clothing, education, and hygiene), they will be incapable of moving up in the pyramid to reach greater goals (job security, sobriety, mental and physical health, and self actualization).
By alleviating the struggle to meet a most basic need, a person can achieve independence in other areas. By removing the barrier of finding the next meal or safe place to sleep, securing hygiene products, and meeting any other basic human needs...People are given the Opportunity to Achieve.
