ORGANIZATION: Connecting for Children & Families

  • 1 person is interested

Connecting for Children & Families is looking for volunteers to support the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program during the 2025 filing season. What is VITA?
VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is a national program that provides free tax preparation and electronic filing services for individuals in need. Local volunteers help ensure that community members, especially those with low to moderate incomes, have access to these important services. How Can You Help as a VITA Volunteer?
Volunteering with VITA makes a real difference in the lives of residents in Woonsocket and Northern Rhode Island. There are opportunities to help, even if you don't have prior tax preparation experience. We need volunteers for the following roles:

  • Greeter/Intake Screener: Help the Site Coordinator and tax preparers by ensuring that each taxpayer has the required documents to complete their return.
  • Tax Preparer: Assist in preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and families.
How to Get Involved:
If you're interested in volunteering or would like more information about the program, please contact Mathi Manivong, the VITA Site Coordinator at Connecting for Children & Families. You can reach Mathi at (401) 766-3384 ext. 212 or email mmanivong@ccfcenter.org.
