Youth Volunteer Corps is partnering with St. Joseph Housing Iinititiave for this hands-on construction project. SJHI facilitates home ownership for families of low and moderate income by purchasing and renovating vacant and dilapidated homes and stabilizing families and neighborhoods through home ownership. We will work together along with an experienced construction manager to perform a variety of indoors house rehab projects on SJHI's current project house. This is a 4-part project and volunteers can sign up for as many of the shifts as you like! Shifts are as follows.
Saturday December 10th: 8am - 12pm and 1pm - 5pm
Sunday December 11th: 8am - 12pm and 1pm - 5pm
The project will take place at a house currently undergoing a full rehab. The address is 4676 Alaska Ave St. Louis, MO 63111.
This project is for 11-18 year olds only.

Description
YVC projects engage youth in team-based service experiences in partnership with local non-profit agencies. Our mission is to inspire a lifetime ethic of volunteerism in today's youth, tomorrow's leaders. Each service project begins with an icebreaker activity and ends with a hands-on service lesson and reflection activity on that day's work.
