We are moving forward with a project we're calling "It's All Grey" a program devoted to supporting persons who identify as MAPs. MAPs = Minor attracted persons. We are building a program with 3 core services to start:
-Education
-Virtual support groups
-Referrals

We think this can be a great way stop predation from happening online. There are next no resources in society for pedophiles to prevent them from offending and we know that harms to children online can be prevented. Typically when a MAP reports to a health care professional that they feel an attraction to a child (not harmed a child), this may trigger a mandatory report to police or authorities and this may cause MAPs to hide and suppress the need to talk about this subject with anyone.

We are looking to change this. We need social work students or those with healthcare in their background to help run anonymous virtual support groups which are focused on prevention. This subject matter is obviously sensitive and mature, so empathetic individuals need-only apply.

We hope to get funding for this program although basic framework of the groups are not fully developed yet. We hope to one day create jobs for these roles as well as those helping to develop the program.
