For Goodness Cakes works with foster agencies and care homes to match volunteers to bake and deliver birthday cakes to disadvantaged youth and young adults in many locations across the US. These children and young adult's lives when we connect with them are centered around fixing their immediate traumas - be it neglect, poverty, or abandonment. For Goodness Cakes presents a unique opportunity to help give them the chance to disconnect from that trauma, and give hope in the world around them. It produces such an incredible impact from a small effort that almost anyone can join and give back around their own busy schedules.

We are looking for a fun, altruistic, and dependable Chapter Leader or Co-Leaders to open and run our Sprinkle Squad of intrepid bakers and work with partners in your community.

The duties of Chapter Leaders/Co-Leaders are:

  • Finding & onboarding agency partners

  • Recruiting volunteer bakers & engaging via social media

  • Planning volunteer appreciation events

  • Fundraising

  • Providing ongoing communication with agencies & volunteers

For Goodness Cakes matches volunteers to make and hand-deliver birthday cakes to foster children and at-risk youth on their special day.

Birthdays are well often overlooked due to more pressing needs. Our mission at For Goodness Cakes is to give individual youth at least one special moment that is about them. By providing a child a treat made especially for them, it gives them some much needed time to not feel the increasing pressure of their socioeconomic situation, but rather grow optimism and confidence.

We are entirely run by donations and the hard work of our volunteers, to help bring a smile to a child's face on their special day.
