During the month of December 2023 the Walker will be presenting the wildly popular British Arrows Awards (BAA). This sell-out holiday event celebrates the UK’s best television, online, outdoor and cinema commercials made by British advertising agencies and production companies. This celebration of commercial creativity brings people back year after year.
To support this event, we are currently recruiting for volunteer ushers. Shifts are either 1.25 or 2.5 hours long and start between 12pm-9:30pm December 1-31.
Volunteers will help scan tickets, seat patrons, and perform light theater cleaning between screenings. Volunteers will have the opportunity to watch the BAA during their shift (though some select shifts don’t) and participate in the Walker’s Volunteer Rewards program.
To get started as a new volunteer, please fill out a Shiftboard application to create a new account. If you’ve volunteered at the Walker before but can’t remember your Shiftboard password, simply click "Forgot Password" on the login page here. All volunteer shifts are posted on Shiftboard.
All Walker staff and volunteers are required to have on file proof of their COVID vaccination or a negative COVID test result taken no more than 5 days before volunteer shift to be on campus. Staff, volunteers, and patrons will be required to wear a mask on all Sunday screenings of the British Arrows Awards.
