Amedisys Hospice of Southwestern Pennsylvania is looking for compassionate individuals to volunteer their time to support patients who are receiving hospice services from our staff. Benefits of being a volunteer are that you get to join an outstanding team and you get to interact with some amazing people. We have hospice care centers in Monroeville, Washington, Monongahela, Masontown, and Uniontown. We also support a care center in Scottdale.
Volunteers can assist in many ways. For example, you can visit with patients or caregivers at their homes or in senior care facilities for companionship, help with household chores, provide breaks for family or other caregivers, attend events, perform administrative tasks in the hospice care center, or do other similar volunteer tasks. Additional opportunities are available if you prefer to do volunteer work from your home by making phone calls, mailing letters, or doing similar remote activities.
To start volunteering, you will follow the application process. When you apply, we can discuss with you the full range of volunteer opportunities. Amedisys also provides a periodic training program.
