K9 Youth Alliance is a grassroots nonprofit that empowers youth and enriches the lives of shelter dogs through the human animal bond.
We're currently seeking 15-20 responsible adults to mentor student-dog teams in our 3-week Positive Youth Development program!
You can foster transformative change by mentoring kids from under-resourced communities as they learn to train and advocate for shleter dogs. Dog handling required.
DETAILS
Program runs Mon - Fri, March 17 - April 4, from 3:30 - 6:30PM
*Minimum of 3 days a week required.
The ideal volunteer should have a pasison for the misison and:
- Be a team player
- Be able to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Be on your feet and active for roughly 3 hours a day
- Clear a criminal background check
