Alzheimer's Association Mission: To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of
research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia
through the promotion of brain health. The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health
organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research.

We are looking for a passionate leader to serve on our event Planning Committee for
The Longest Day (TLD), our annual "do-it-yourself" fundraising program! Shine a light with us to fight the
darkness of Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On June 21, thousands of
participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an
activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for
the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Alzheimer’s Association Mississippi Chapter, provides vital services and support to individuals, caregivers and families. We serve 82 counties in Mississippi.

- Monthly commitment: Approximately 4-5 hours per month. This will vary depending on the month. Our staff partner is flexible with whatever works for you. While TLD is on June 21st, we work with volunteers all year round.
- All volunteers are asked to participate in their own Longest Day fundraising event or a part of a committee team event.
