Description

The Steps Forward is a non-profit organization in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which thrive to help refugees and immigrants and go extra mile to get woman leadership and participation at all levels to foster gender equality and amplify women voices by helping them at every stage of their careers. We provide mentoring and career development programs and provide tools for students and young professionals to help advance in their career fields.

Our purpose is to promote women's equal participation in economic development and in decision making to develop sustainable societies and to promote women realize their full human rights.

The Steps Forward serves refugees/immigrants particularly women ages 18+ who identifies as refugees, immigrants and asylum seekers in USA, and any other women who seeks our support. We support all refugees/immigrants partcularly women through our different programs. Currently we are providing mentorship and job replacement. We are also conducting research activities and our current research is on Employment Barriers for immigrant women from South Asian countries living in USA.
