Primary Responsibilities
The Role Model Program Coordinator will assist with aspects related to role model recruitment, outreach, and engagement as well as supporting role models and aligning them with events, activities, and resources:
- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of the role model recruitment, outreach, and engagement strategy
- Manage the role model database and track and update role model activity accordingly
- Oversee the onboarding and support of role models, including screening, interviewing, recordings for the Video Hub, session preparation and training, and follow up
- Recommend role models for activities and connect them to opportunities
- Assist with providing key insights and data on role models and their activity for reporting, communications, and review purposes
- Provide support and liaise with national team members and partners to ensure that all joint role model activities are done in a timely, consistent, and professional way
- Proactively explore opportunities and ideas to improve role model recruitment and retention, and processes centered around role model operations
Experience and Skills
- At least two years experience of managing projects for a nonprofit with limited resources
- Associates or bachelors degree, preferred
- Experience working with role models, mentors, students, and youth organizers preferred
- Comfortable working independently within a small team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge or willingness to learn how to use Airtable
- A positive attitude, and proactive approach towards challenges and problem solving
- Demonstrated experience of working effectively with volunteers
- Passionate about the aims and values of Inspiring Girls USA
Outcomes for the Coordinator
The Coordinator will help shape a nonprofit organization and build skills in leadership, recruitment, outreach, and education and women and girls issues. They will be involved in strategy discussions and be offered wonderful opportunities for networking, learning, and building their career.
Additional Information and Oversight
The Coordinator will report to the Executive Director. If requesting academic credit, a learning agreement will be executed between the volunteer, Inspiring Girls USA, and the academic institution giving credit. The position is no more than 8-hours a week (expected to average between 3 to 5) with opportunity for it to be configured as semester long or other.
Status
Part-time, flexible, remote with a minimum commitment of 16 hours/month over 4-6 consecutive months or longer. Must be based in the USA. 1-2 positions may be available, depending on coworking possibilities, availability, experience, and skill set of applicants.
Compensation
Volunteer position, unpaid
