SOUP KITCHEN-Volunteers are needed to help prep, serve meals, and clean up after meals. The Soup Kitchen is open Mon, Tues and Thurs from 1p-6p, and Saturdays from 2p-6p. The soup kitchen also has a clothing bank, and a volunteer is needed to take in donations from the outdoor donation bin and bring them inside and sort them (on a flexible schedule).

Mission Statement
The mission of The Volunteer Center is to match individuals willing to serve with non-profit and governmental organizations in need of help for the benefit the community. Our goal is to be the first place people think of when they want to be of service and the first place non-profit and governmental groups think of when they need dependable volunteer help. As a result we extend the human capacity of area non-profit and governmental agencies by recruiting volunteers to fill a wide variety of volunteer positions in the community.
Description
The Volunteer Center recruits, refers and supports volunteers for the betterment of the community. The Center is home of the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), the Volunteer Action Corps (VAC), Friends in Action and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program in Reno County, Kansas.
