Join us every Monday morning from 9am to 12pm at the People's Garden for a community learning and experiential service day. This space will grow fresh, healthy food and support resilient, local food systems; teach people how to garden using conservation practices; nurture habitat for pollinators and wildlife and create greenspace for neighbors in South Phoenix.

TigerMountain Foundation’s mission is to empower people by building flourishing community gardens, providing life skills support and workforce development through neighborhood revitalization and beautification.

Description

As a change agent for healthy living, TMF envisions a healthy community where all citizens can reach their maximum potential. TMF through its model of Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) will empower communities to better itself from within to build community. In the communities we affect, there is high recidivism, bad health choices and a low ranking education system with closed schools. The TMF instructional and developmental concept is intergenerational, multi ethnic mentoring. TMF brings a mosaic of educational opportunities. The four educational tenets of TMF are: Financial Literacy Micro Business Enterprise Workforce Development Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse Education These tenets address prevalent issues within the core of the effected community.
