  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Heart of Hospice is looking for those who enjoy yard work and giving a helping hand, to assist our patients and their families with light yard work. You can assist by cutting grass, gardening, watering, and much more.

Our patients and their families do not always have the time or the energy to handle these extra tasks; they would greatly appreciate any helping hand.

About Heart of Hospice- LHC group

2000 Audubon Avenue Suite A, Thibodaux, LA 70301, US

Mission Statement

We at Heart of Hospice strive to ensure that under our care our patients and their families physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs are met with exceptional in-home care. We are founded on a fundamental principle - it’s all about helping people. It continues to serve as our mission statement and guiding light as we nurture a unique company culture of family and community. Volunteers are a vital part of that culture. In each and every community we serve, we are dedicated to being more than just clinicians and support staff - we are friends, neighbors, and family.

Heart of Hospice Volunteers are an asset to our team as our volunteers provide a multitude of services:

  • Administration- Provides office support for direct patient care. (mailing, filing, creating patient/teaching material)
  • General Support- Program support by assisting with community events, such as assisting in decorating and planning as well as being creative to design arts and crafts for our patients.
  • Patient Care- Provides in-person activities and companionship. (reading, yard work, listening, animal care, cooking...etc.)
  • Bereavement- Provides in-person support to the bereavement program. (assist with arrangements after death, agency memorial services, write letters to the families)
We welcome volunteers from all walks of life. Whether you contribute your time and talents directly with patients or prefer to work behind the scenes, we invite you to become a member of a dedicated group of compassionate caregivers who serve as vital members of our hospice team. Our branch of Hospice covers all of the bayou region from Franklin to Thibodaux and have many volunteer opportunities surrounding and in between these locations.
