A MATHCOUNTS assistant coach works with the coach to prepare Mathletes for MATHCOUNTS competitions. Ideally, an assistant coach will meet with Mathletes for an hour once or twice a week, however; a coach can decide to meet more or less frequently.

MATHCOUNTS(r) is a national math enrichment, coaching and competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement through grassroots involvement in every U.S. state and territory. With over 30 years experience, MATHCOUNTS is one of the most successful education partnerships involving volunteers, educators, industry sponsors, and students.
