ORGANIZATION: Loggerhead Marinelife Center

Exhibit Interpreters serve as our "on the floor" education ambassadors through guest engagement and interpretations of our new exhibits including wet (aquarium), digital, and static exhibits in the Marinelife Gallery, Rinker Breezeway, Welcome Center, and Outdoor Ecosystem Tanks. Exhibit Interpreters will also engage with guests around campus using STEM Carts for biofact/object interpretation.

Requirements: Volunteers must be at least sixteen years of age and must work a minimum of one 4 hour shift per week. There is a minimum six month commitment.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a non-profit education and conservation facility dedicated to the conservation and preservation of our marine environment through education, research and rehabilitation.

Description

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is the primary rehabilitation center for Sea Turtles on the East coast of Florida, and operates an oceanfront nature center-museum and sea turtle hospital. The organization is located in a county park, though it relies on private sources of funding.
