Looking for a service opportunity for your corporate team, friends group, sports club et al.? Cook for Kids is for you!

Individuals and groups of up to six volunteers cook on site and serve a meal + a snack to the children at the Crisis Nursery.

There are three ways you can participate:

• Sponsor - $100 - Can’t make it to the Nursery but want to make sure our kiddos have full bellies? Choose this option and we’ll take care of everything for a meal and a snack.
• Guest Chef - No payment to the Nursery. Come and cook a sponsored meal and snack for kiddos in our care. Please confirm availability of this option with Keith, Food Service and Volunteer Services Coordinator at kjohnson@crisisnursery.org or at 612-767-8483.
• Chef - $100 - Keep it simple - we find a fun recipe and provide the food for a meal and a snack. All you need to do is arrive at the scheduled time and cook. No meal planning or shopping involved!

Volunteers must be 12 years of age or older. Volunteers who are 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older.

Time Commitment: 2 - 2.5 hours, including prep and clean-up.

Breakfast (includes morning snack prep): 7:00 am - 9:00 am (served at 8:00 am)
Lunch (includes afternoon snack prep): 11:00 am - 1:00 pm (served at noon)
Dinner (includes evening snack prep): 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (served at 5:00 pm)
