Please help make a difference in your community by assisting low-to-limited income taxpayers in filing their taxes.
The City of Phoenix has been partnering with the IRS for over 18 years to provide the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, bringing in over 100 million dollars in refunds back into the community!
Don’t worry if you do not have any preparation experience, as VITA volunteers receive free training on preparing and e-file tax returns for taxpayers. The program also needs persons to assist with greeting clients, translation services, call screening, and many other services.
Be part of a team of volunteers learning new skills while helping others.
Virtual information sessions for interested volunteers are currently being held, and training is available both online and in person, with courses beginning in November.
If interested, please visit Phoenix.gov/taxhelp or call 602-534-8359.
