ORGANIZATION: TECH TURN UP


Tech Turn Up will create an event focused on producing non-fungible Tokens (NFTs) digital art created by student ambassadors. The students will work with our team and volunteers, and partners to create a collection of NFTs to be auctioned off at our in-person and online event.

The event will host a panel of various professional guest speakers to lead a conversation about around technology and the arts.

Roles needed:

Assistance with financial support

Assistance with the production of the event.

Assistance in the marketing of the event, including the website landing page.

Assistance with the conversion of digital art to NFT.

Assistance with contacts for a possible guest speaker.

Assistance with a location to host the event

Mission Statement

Tech Turn Up provides a comprehensive STEAM curriculum designed to support K-12 students in developing fundamental technology skills while promoting educational equity.

Description

Created in response to the lack of positive mentors within technology fields, Tech Turn Up provides pathways within the community to pursue technology-related degrees as demand within this industry steadily increases.

Tech Turn Up has provided services to schools and home schools within the communities. Tech Turn has had the opportunity to work with DCHA sponsored summer camp and provided technology enrichment activities for (DPR) located in Wards 6 and 7. Before our 501 (3) (c) status, Tech Turn Up, in collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington, successfully served over 250 at-risk youth aged between 12 -17 in Wards 4, 7, and 8 in Washington DC.
